You have already made more progress on them than I have on the 300+ Macedonian figures I got for next to nothing a few years back - just one unit of 36 Phalangites completed to date! <br /><br />60mm frontage used to be pretty standard for 25mm Ancients, and is what I have used from the 1970's on, but there's no reason 40mm couldn't work as well. Really a matter of choice re: aesthetics, cost, painting time, and maybe grid considerations for C&C. I use a 6" grid for TTS, which works fine with 60mm stands, but with 40 mm stands you could probably drop down to a 4"/100 cm grid.
