I know DBA is 15mm, but I had to read your post closely as they appear like larger 28mm figs. I love your shield work (again), horses, and the way that each figure is unique. And now I see the Sienna for shadows. Very clever!

Montyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16094254709103687259noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7521207674659027649.post-24694566405572212052013-12-16T00:24:37.451-08:002013-12-16T00:24:37.451-08:00Thanks Phil, glad you like my painting style and w...Thanks Phil, glad you like my painting style and work.... Thank you Sir, I appreciate your comments...Hi Seb,
Thank you Sir, I appreciate your comments, as for the bases I use two colors Raw Sienna which is the main primer/under coat over Woodland Scenics - B1372 Ballast Fine Brown, I dry brush over the Raw Sienna base with Ivory Color including the side edges of the base.

The Paints I use are 2 oz Craft smart acrylic bottle paints. After dry brushing the base I use Raw Sienna again and paint little dots/areas on the base as "markers" to place the (2mm-4mm) siflor static grass tufts. The Raw Sienna markers creates shadows of the static grass tufts.

cheers,Phil Chttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02369365598439913360noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7521207674659027649.post-78829104719800563132013-12-15T23:48:24.615-08:002013-12-15T23:48:24.615-08:00Agree with Seb for the bases, your work is fantast...Agree with Seb for the bases, your work is fantastic, the paintjob excellent, and I like the clothes too...a beautiful army!Philhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08913029478686087197noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7521207674659027649.post-49284443541029456702013-12-15T22:48:07.287-08:002013-12-15T22:48:07.287-08:00Very nice army.
