Army Composition: 1 x 3Cv(General) 1 x 2Lh or 3Cv, 5 x 3Cv, 1 x 3Kn // 4Sp or 3Ax or 4Wb, 2 x 4Bd, 2 x 2Ps- 1x Cv (Gen): One Cavalry general.
- 1x (LH or Cv): One unit of either Light Horse or Cavalry.
- 5x Cv: Five units of Cavalry.
- 1x (Kn //Sp or Ax or Wb): One unit of either Knights, Spear, Auxiliary, or Warband.
- 2x Bd: Two units of Blades (heavy infantry).
- 2x Ps: Two units of Psiloi (light infantry/archers)
Narses: Another successful general, who ultimately secured Byzantine control over Italy against the Ostrogoths. He utilized a Fabian strategy, combined-arms tactics, and exploited enemy blunders to achieve victories.
Enemies: Ostrogoths, Gepids, Avars/Slavs, Lombards and Sassanid Persians.

DeleteI always look forward to these posts Phil. Another beautiful army to add to the collection. There is a little bit of flexibility in there with the Kn/Sp/Ax or Wb option which covers a lot of potential opponents, although there is only one of them.
ReplyDeleteThanks Lawernce, DBA armies one is restricted which elemnts to use which is part of the fun moment before deploying your army on the table facing your opponant "guessing and paranoid" :o) which elements to use etc. Having said that, not a problem with DBMM usually you have multi choices to pick elements to use with in your army.... cheers for now... not feeling well bad flu/virus during past 3 days..
