15mm Essex Miniatures

Army Composition: 1 x 3Cv(General) 1 x 3Cv, 5 x 2Lh or 5 x 3Cv, 1 x 3Kn or 2Lh or 3Ax, 2 x 4Bd, 2 x 2Ps

  • General (Cv): The army's leader, a cavalry unit.
  • Heavy Cavalry (Cv): The main striking force, typically 5 elements.
  • Light Horse (LH): Can be used as a  independent "task force" to quickly maneuver on your opponants flanks
  • Knights (Kn) or Light Horse (LH): An optional element, offering flexibility.
  • Spearmen (Bd): Heavy infantry, providing a solid defensive line.
  • Skirmishers (Ps): Archers and other light troops for harassing the enemy if possible!
  • Auxilia (Ax): Light medium Infantry good to hold/control bad going terrain/BUA

  5. Excellent looking Byzantine army, I have a soft spot for them as my first Osprey book was on them and I started a 25mm Ral Partha army, well I've probably got those nine figures somewhere! Seventy two and counting?!
