The Ostrogoths were a Germanic people who created an empire in the 3rd century CE and established a kingdom in Italy in the 5th century

The Visigoths were a Germanic tribe that migrated into and conquered parts of the Roman Empire in the 5th century AD. They were influential in the decline of the Western Roman Empire and the Early Middle Ages. The Visigoths originated from the Theruingi, a group of people that included Slavs, Germans, and Sarmatians

The Gepids were an East Germanic tribe which who spoke the same language as the Goths, but probably different dialects

The Vandals were also Germanic people who were first reported in the written records as inhabitants of what is now Poland, during the period of the Roman empire. Much later, in the fifth century, a group of Vandals led by kings established Vandal kingdoms first within the Iberian Peninsula, and then in the western Mediterranean islands, and North Africa
