Army: 16 elements/units x 3kn, 4 x 3Cv, 8 x 2Lh, 36 x 4Wb, 8 x 3Bw, 8 x 2Ps
The painted figures/units below are used as Dark ages Barbarians which I have done so with my DBA army list i.e. early Ostrogoths Visigoths Vandals Gepids and many others during the dark ages or Age of Invasions. I also use the army or armies for DBMM, Triumph, L'Art de la Guerre (ADLG) and Impetvs rules sets.
The Ostrogoths were a Germanic people who created an empire in the 3rd century CE and established a kingdom in Italy in the 5th century
The Visigoths were a Germanic tribe that migrated into and conquered parts of the Roman Empire in the 5th century AD. They were influential in the decline of the Western Roman Empire and the Early Middle Ages. The Visigoths originated from the Theruingi, a group of people that included Slavs, Germans, and Sarmatians
The Gepids were an East Germanic tribe which who spoke the same language as the Goths, but probably different dialects
Beautiful looking collection sir!
ReplyDeleteThanks Michal much appreciated!
DeleteThese look great Phil. Are they newly painted or are some from earlier armies and combined here? They certainly cover a lot of ground and look terrific amassed together.
ReplyDeleteA bit of both Lawrence, the Gothic heavy cavalry painted years ago and the light-medium cavalry/infantry elements painted early this year. finally figured how to change the old post/listing date of 2009-2010? to the present. Yes combined all DBA armies to form one army.
