15mm Spanish Celtiberians

Celtiberians were a group of Celtic-speaking tribes who inhabited the central and eastern regions of the Iberian Peninsula (modern-day Spain) from the 6th century BC until their assimilation into the Roman Empire in the 1st century BC. They emerged from the intermingling and cultural migrating Celtic tribes from Central Europe and mixed in with indigenous Iberian peoples.

15mm Old Glory Miniatures:
Painted 48 elements (144 figures) as Scutarii - Irr Bd (F)
(16 elements are swordsmen and 32 elements armed spears)

These elements/army will be used to :o) destroy Republican Romans! :o) well I hope!

  3. Another very impressive army Phil. I enjoy playing ancient Spanish, although I normally end up playing the Iberian version with all the lovely Ax(S). Horses for courses though. Great work.

    1. Thanks Lawrence, I agree any army with Ax(S) are must have and are playable vs Bd,Sp,Pk and Cavalry, also Bw(S) are must have if possible in army list or point system army Bw(S) can knock out enemy cavalry during shooting...anyway...thanks again Lawrence!
      cheers!

  6. Beautiful work Phil! I also have a bunch of those Old Glory Celtiberians (though not as nicely painted as yours!) and they do great service on the battlefield.

    Cheers,

    1. Thanks Aaron! Old Glory 15s infantry/foot are great to paint, but dislike and usually avoid buying/painting OG 15s cavalry! I prefer 15mm Essex Cavalry...oh...also working OG 15s Lusitanians! :o) cheers!
